About Kenneth Charles Design. Kenneth Charles Design LLC is an independent freelance design firm that specializes in motion furniture with stationary accent chairs.
Headquartered in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains, in the town of Morristown, Tennessee, Kenneth Charles Design is committed fully to the creative innovation of its clients design needs.
Consisting of head designer and founder Kenneth Charles Peacock, his wife and bookkeeper Monica, and his son and technical adviser Joshua, KCD has grown since November 2006 from a simple idea by its founder, family-operated company.
KEN PEACOCK
Ken has played an active role in the furniture industry for over 39 years. With an unceasing dedication to the frontier of furniture design and innovation, Ken brings to any design project decades of knowledge and experience.
Ken was the senior in-house designer for Berkline Benchcraft LLC from 1982-2011, and has worked with the top executives, salesman, and marketing persons in the motion furniture industry.
When Berkline decided to expand their market with the introduction of a Home Theater Line, Ken was in important contributor in the design process for what is now the industry standard in Home Theater furniture.
The estimated cumulative total for Ken’s contribution to Berline is over 1.2 billion dollars in retail sales.
Ken settled in Morristown with his wife Monica in 1982 shorty afterwards began a family. He has three sons, Joshua, Caleb, and Jared.
